April 23, 2012, Beijing municipal development and reform commission released an action plan to phase out incandescent lamp. This plan has confirmed by the municipal government. According to the plan, hotel, restaurant, shopping mall, business building will disable incandescent lamps gradually before the end of 2015. Aiming at promoting LED Strips and other LED lamps.

According to the action plan, from June this year, the city will stop import incandescent lamp with a power of over 100 watt, June next year 60 watt, Jan 1, 2015 15 watt. In addition,    governments at all levels will stop using incandescent lamps at the end of 2013 and all public areas will stop use incandescent lamps before the end of 2014. This year the government will promote LED replacement in underground passages.
